2023 Mount Prospect Junior Women's Club Scholarship

2023 Application
Required: Completed application, essay, and transcript.
Recommended (Not Required): Letter(s) of recommendation.
The application rules are as follows:
• Applicant must be a legal resident of Mount Prospect as of the date of this application and be a graduating high school senior between the ages of 16 and 22.
• Applicant must graduate from high school by June 30, 2023, and must be enrolled for the 2023–2024 term in an accredited college or university.
The recipient of this $1,000 scholarship will be decided by the Scholarship Committee of the Mount Prospect Junior Women’s Club. The selection will be based on volunteer activities, academic achievements, character, written essay, and other conditions deemed appropriate by the committee. The selection will be made on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis. An official high school transcript of the last seven semesters will be required for the application (attachment within the application).
The scholarship will be applied toward tuition for one academic year only and will be sent directly to the recipient’s chosen school. Proof of enrollment at the institution proposed in the application must be supplied prior to the release of the scholarship award. Applicant must agree to furnish proof of successful completion of high school. Scholarship winner must attend college in the fall of 2023 or the scholarship may be forfeited at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee.

All applicants will be notified with a decision via email by June 1, 2023, and the selected recipient will be notified by telephone. The scholarship recipient and their parents will be invited to the June Junior Women’s Club meeting for presentation of the scholarship.
